I finally have some down time!

I got laid off from my soul-sucking administrative job at the end of February, and after a couple of weeks of shame-eating myself into a stupor, I decided to look on the bright side and remember that this is what I've been waiting for. Unemployment isn't great, but it does allow me to continue to live while I have all this free time to work on my portfolio. Here are some things I've been working on the last week or two. All of these will soon be either colored or inked. I can't wait to post these when they're finished, they will look much better. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! (just kidding, I'm gonna make an attempt to update much more often).

This is for my friend's daughter's first birthday party invitation. I think it turned out pretty well. As a note, the baby is going to be holding a balloon, but I haven't put it in yet.

This one is going to make a lot more sense when it's finished. The background is going to be very dark, and the monster is going to barely be visible except his yellow eyes and teeth. I'll put it up when i'm done!

Stir fry is murder.

This is one of my favorites. I can't wait to watercolor this.

This is one in a series of drawings I've been doing of this kid

Here's another one

And another one.
